Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti Review
Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti Review
Honda release Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti, Honda should choose to add some sporting presence to its everyday Civic models and the result is this, the limited-edition Civic Ti. the Ti gets a body kit inspired by Honda’s BTCC car, unique 17in alloy wheels and a Pioneer sat-nav and media unit, but it retains the same running gear as a standard 1.8-litre petrol model.
Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti, And therein lies the problem, because although there is a lot to like about the Ti, the Civic feels very old now. Yes, it’s well equipped, looks special and costs thousands less, spec for spec, than the obvious class leaders. But any merit in these factors and the appealingly modern-looking (if ergonomically disastrous) interior is hard to appreciate when the car is so dominated by its lacklustre motor. Let,s see Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti picture
Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti Performance
The performance figures are perfectly adequate, but the engine comes across as strained and noisy, making it fairly unpleasant to use either vigorously or normally. The ride is also not brilliant, picking up many of the road’s bumps and ruts and feeling generally firmer than you would expect. To add to the list of flaws, the emissions and economy fall some way behind those of the best.
Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Ti specs & Prices
Price: £16,995; Top speed: 127mph; 0-62mph: 8.9sec; Economy: 42.8mpg (combined); CO2: 152g/km; Kerb weight: 1321kg

WG 26 Transformation from Bently to Maserati
2013 Lotus Esprit Competitor Ferrari 458 Italia
This is new 2013 Lotus Esprit supercar concept, For the 2013 Esprit, Lotus has prepared an in-house engine, leaving behind the V8 borrowed from Toyota. The new one will be a smaller and lighter V8, capable of putting out approximately 570 horsepower. What we know so far is that the new Esprit concept looks amazing. We’ll have to wait and see what the production version will look like and what it will hold under the hood.
2013 Lotus Esprit at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, along with four other cars in the company’s lineup, Lotus unveiled a completely redesigned, new generation Esprit, scheduled to go into production in late 2012 and confirmed to go on sale in Spring of 2013. Lotus announced an estimated price of £110000 ($175000 at the current rates). Let,s see the 2013 Lotus Esprit Competitor Ferrari 458 Italia picture.
Lotus CEO Dany Bahar has recently made a bold statement at a press conference. He announced the new 2013 Lotus Esprit as a fierce competitor to the McLaren MP4-12C and the Ferrari 458 Italia, mentioning that the new Esprit will provide a more “authentic” driving experience than its rivals. The KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System)technology in the new engine is also meant to improve driving.
This new Esprit features a futuristic front-end with LED front daytime running lights and a center-mounted dual exhaust system in the rear. The interior also has a new futuristic, but minimal design which includes a digital instrument cluster, a sport steering wheel and carbon fiber trim scattered throughout the cabin. It has a length of 455 cm (179.1 inches), a width of 195 cm (76.8 inches) and a height of 125 cm (49.2 inches). Gross weight is stated to be around 1495 kg (3,296 lbs).

Toyota GRMN Hybrid Concept II at Nurburgring 24-Hour
This car is Toyota GRMN Hybrid Concept II. Toyota is set to pull the sheets back on a new convertible sports hybrid at this year’s Nurburgring 24-Hour endurance race. Co-developed by Gazoo Racing, the GRMN Hybrid Concept II is a slightly updated version of the concept that Toyota displayed at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon.
With its gasoline engine mounted mid-ship and a hybrid all-wheel-drive system, the GRMN should deliver drivers plenty of grip and excellent balance as well. Total combined output sits at 295 horsepower, with 245 ponies coming from the gasoline V6 and another 50 arriving via an electric motor. That motor supplies power to the two front wheels only.
Toyota GRMN Hybrid Concept, The automaker says the machine weighs in at less than 3,300 lbs, though there’s no indication as to what sort of fuel economy to expect from the drop-head. So, when can you buy one? We wouldn’t hold our breath. With its wild looks and pricey all-wheel-drive system, it’ll be a cold day in Toyota City before the GRMN lands on dealer lots. Hit the jump for the press release.

Renaultsport Megane 250 Trophy Cup
It’s a Renaultsport Megane 250 Trophy Cup given an extra 15bhp and 15lb ft of torque. The Trophy is a welcome step up the power rankings for the Megane RS – a car that has already established itself as having one of the finest front-wheel drive chassis out there. Which is a good thing because no changes have been made to that chassis; even Renault think it’s good enough as is. Renaultsport Megane 250 Trophy
Only 500 examples of the Trophy will be made and only 50 of those will come to the UK, so exclusivity – and the appropriate styling tweaks and decals – is likely to be as big a reason as the power hike to pay the extra £3800 that Renault is asking for the Trophy over the standard Megane 250 Cup.
Renaultsport Megane 250 Trophy, Unsurprisingly the differences in feel between the Trophy and the standard car are fairly subtle, but the extra power has given the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot a more lairy power delivery. It’s not as much of an attack on the senses as the Ford Focus RS on full bore, but as a whole the Trophy feels like it’s making a more vigorous attempt to maul the tarmac than the standard car; An impression that’s emphasised by the pleasingly gravelly intake noise and new easy-squeal Bridgestone Potenza RE05A tyres (which are available as an off-the-shelf tyre, too).
It’s those tyres that might actually be one of the more substantial improvements over the standard car. Renault broke the front-wheel drive lap record of the Nurburgring with the new Trophy, and the driver attributed as much of the 9seconds it shaved off the previous record (set by a Megane R26R) to the tyres as to the power hike. But truthfully it would require a lot of track use for the benefits to become evident, and having had experience of the various tyres available on the standard car we certainly wouldn’t consider any of them limiting in the performance or grip on offer.
What is crucial is that the purity of the Megane Cup’s handling hasn’t been corrupted by the extra power. Torque steer remains noticeable but well-contained, understeer is still a rare and mostly last-chance occurrence, and generally the Megane RS has retained its joyous ability to be both utterly thrilling and also very forgiving on the limit. That the Trophy upgrades have made only subtle changes will, to many, be a very good thing indeed even if there will be those who remain disappointed that something wearing the Trophy name isn’t more significantly breathed-on.
If you can get your hands on one, then yes, because there’s no doubt that it is a truly exceptional hot hatch. It’s got all the depth of usability and reward that has made the standard car the benchmark but with a little bit more power, added kudos and a healthy standard kit list – including Recaro seats, metallic paint and unique 19-inch alloys that go a long way to accounting for the premium that the £27,820 Megane Trophy commands.
Still, if you can’t get hold of one of a Trophy, don’t fear – the standard car is just as bountiful anywhere outside the ‘Ring, and it’ll save you a few quid, too.

2011 Honda CR-Z Mugen Review
Honda Mugen CRZ
This is the Honda CR-Z Mugen complete with supercharged engine. Mugen was aiming to equal the Civic Type R’s performance and it certainly feels as though that’s the case. This Honda CR-Z Mugen is as quick as it looks. There’s no extra power from the electric motor. The performance comes from supercharging the engine, which now produces 197bhp instead of the standard car’s 122bhp.
The idea of a hot Honda CR-Z Mugen is exciting, especially the novelty of one that retains its hybrid technology. Not for green reasons, but because it is fascinating to see what can be done with the technology.
The flawed chassis and steering would be easy to put right. After all, we’ve been fiddling with dampers, springs and geometry almost since the birth of the car.
It’s a novelty to drive a quick Honda that has strong torque (thanks to the hybrid IMA system) from as low as 1000rpm. Plenty of midnight oil has been burnt over the task of integrating the IMA system’s electronics with the now substantially more powerful combustion engine. Clever stuff.
What’s needed now is a similar level of graft on the chassis. The steering needs to be the first port of call. There’s an absurd amount of self-centring – so much so that you need to be careful not to let the wheel slip through your fingers as you pull out of junctions or you’ll end up on the wrong side of the road. Unsurprisingly, this trait doesn’t do a lot for cornering feel.
Next job on the list is to do some further work on the chassis. With the extremely sticky Yokohamas and a wider track, there’s no shortage of grip. What’s lacking is responsiveness; Mugen’s chassis crew need to spend some quality time with a Clio 200 Cup to see that handling is not just down to outright grip.

Batmobile in The Batman Live show
Betmobile at Batman Live show
2011 Gordon Murray Designs has revealed Batmobile, a futuristic take on the iconic comic-book car. The Batmobile is powered by hydrogen, which is stored in twin tanks in its right-hand-side flanks. A fuel cell stack is on the car’s left flank and this powers lithium-ion batteries.
Gordon Murray, designer of the iconic McLaren F1 and numerous other successful racing cars, said, “We at are proud to have designed the Batmobile for the Batman Live show. We have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to apply advanced materials and concepts to create a truly unique take on one of the world’s most iconic vehicles.”
Instead of standard alloys, the Batmobile sits on ‘virtual wheels’. According to the technical drawings, the wheel’s force-field generators “oppose gravity and lifts the Batmobile to a levitation position 40mm above the ground”.
Special features include a ‘quiet mover’ at the front (a “breathable carbonfibre outer body skin” which reduces drag, increases the car’s speed and allows the Batmobile to “move silently about its business”) anti detection transmitters, and laser beams in the car’s nose.
The car will feature in the Batman Live show which kicks off on July 19 in Manchester.
